I believe that a 'personal touch' means a lot when dealing with customers. I do indeed offer remote support but sometimes that isn't enough to put a problem right. And anyway, depending on the issue, I like to see things 'in situ' as it were.
My visits are charged on a one off fee basis (price dependent on the service required) and if it is within a 10 mile radius of Heathfield, that's all you will pay whatever amount of time it takes.
